Goodbye Zooey. It has been a great year. I had so much fun on your 1st birthday in February when we spent the whole day at the dog park! Or that time it snowed like crazy in Atlanta and we spent hours running around until you finally had enough and wanted to sleep on my bed. Did you enjoy driving 12 hours to Houston for the holidays where you met mom, dad and your sisters and our brother-in-law? They had never met a dog as big as you and enjoyed watching you run laps around the pool or when you would wake everyone up at 6am and request that dad take you for a walk. I got scared that time you slipped and ran into the fence pole in the backyard and started crying. Fortunately you were back to your normal hyper self 5 minutes later.
I know you wanted to move to San Francisco with me but you would not have enjoyed it as much as living here in Atlanta with your new owner, Katie. She is on the running team and loves running, so you will get all the exercise and play time you could ever want! She grew up with dogs and knows how to treat you right. There’s lots of room for you to stretch your legs in Atlanta. I don’t live near any parks in San Francisco and you would hate living in an apartment less than half the size of my Atlanta apartment. I would be out of the house some 10+ hours a day while working and you would definitely hate me for leaving you at home all day. It’s for the best Zooey. You’ll thank me later.
Please be nice to your new owner. Try not to nibble her hands, jump on her or mess up her house. Farewell friend.
